New Year = New You

January can be the toughest and most depressing time of year!
After Christmas and New Year, indulging in too much alcohol, and over eating all the wrong kinds of food, it is time to rewire our brains and get back to the land of the clean and lean!

Apparently 95% of Brits will make a resolution; the majority of us will abandon them within a month.

The number one resolution for the nation is losing weight -most will fall of the diet wagon after 15 days.

Number two is to get/keep fit -gyms across the country will be cashing in as regular attendees get annoyed and irritated by the sudden overcrowding (by February though, it should be back to normal)

And of course there are lots of people giving up alcohol for January, or cutting back in general.
Stopping smoking is always, of course high up on the list.

As 12% of us will actually achieve our goal and be able to look back in a year’s time smugly, here are some tips that can help us stick to our new year’s resolutions:

Tips that can help us all achieve our goals:
-Write down your goals, set steps and stages
-Find a resolution buddy, if you have a friend relying on you to go jogging etc you are less likely to cancel
-Pick a good day to start, if you still have events or a party coming up, start the day after
-Reward yourself, as you reach each new step, this will help to keep you motivated
-Modify your behaviour, avoiding situations that you may be tempted to drink/smoke

So it's out withh the old and in with the new - GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!
